The NBA has the worst possible senario

The Pistons, Celtics, Lakers, and Spurs are left.  Some of the least likable teams for everone outside of their own fans.  What's not to like?  Everything.

The Spurs, Bruce Bowen, the gerbil Manu, and a boring, flopping, free throw intensive style.

The Lakers, Kobe Bryant, a bs trade getting a top center for some spare change and a ball of lint they had in their pocket, and some of the worst fans around.

The Pistons, boring style, and the Red Wings are in the Stanley Cup.  Two teams in the respective championships, well at least the Tigers are bad.

The Celtics.  Another Boston championship??? The Boston fans are deflated a bit after blowing the superbowl and now here are the Celtics to pick them back up.  What would the world do with out Boston fans blowing hard and talking crap.

The NBA finals will be one of the lowest viewed championships since, well, last year.

Karl the Pedophile Malone

I heard this story over the weekend and found it unbelievable, not only for the facts but also because I hadn't heard it before.  ESPN jumps when a high school girls basketball player makes a half court shot or when there is any type of misconduct whatsoever, so that makes it more unbelievable.

Karl Malone impregnated a 12 year old girl when he was in college.

Karl Malone, who made $100 million in the NBA, refused to pay any child support.  The child's mother was asking for $200 a week and Malone was court ordered to pay $175 a week after DNA proved paternity.

Karl Malone told his son when he was entering college, it's too late for me to be your father you need to make your own money.

Now, the cast off son was just drafted by the Buffalo Bills as an offensive lineman.  I believe his name is Demarcus Bell.

Just wanted to see if others had heard of this I have no idea why the media would sweep it under the rug.

After quite a bit of searching I found this article on ESPN.com, nice they put it on page 2.

Clemens, 360 degrees of cheater

Well well, MLB's most notorious a hole has just been busted for having a decade long affair.  This couldn't be happening to a better guy.  I don't really care about someone elses personal business, but it just goes to show that this guy is a cheater in every aspect of his life.  Cheater in his profession, cheater in is personal life.  Looks like the Rocket's world is crumbling.

Karma sucks eh Roger.

Flip Flop

I'm getting really sick of the flopping going on in the NBA these days.  It's actually getting very frustrating to watch.  I understand that players are doing what they feel is needed to win but give me a break.  Don't you have any integrity and pride?  This isn't soccer.  The flopping used to be confined to European and other international players, now it has infected the American players.  US players stand strong, don't be a puss.  The league needs to crack down on this bs.  In hockey if you take a dive trying to draw a penalty you get the penalty.  And the shame of being a puss as you sit in the penalty box for two minutes while your team fights to fend off a power play.  Maybe the NBA needs to take a lesson and gain some pride back.

The year that was

Only a handful of games left, a bit of a stumple in the last week, and giving up 5 goals in regulation to the ugh, (insert vomiting sound here) Kings last night, we Coyotes fans probably won't be seeing the return of the white out.  But, this was a good season and the team made a lot of progress.  Here are some of my highlights from the season.

From Russia with Love:  Ilya Bryzgalov has come to mind the net, and finally the Coyotes have a bonafide #1 goalie.  I am still amazed that the Coyotes got him, but he was, without a doubt, the turning point for the season.

The Kids are all right: Peter Mueller really had a great rookie year, and while he may not get it, he could be in consideration for the Calder.  Martin Hanzal had a very respectable season as well and appears that he will be filling a m
